False Start

As Friday evening practice wraps up in the sticky late-summer heat, Lina Cruz watches in agony as Ty James whispers to the head cheerleader, Vanessa, and slips her a key. Convinced they are sneaking off for a tryst under the bleachers, Lina follows them, determined to confront her crush and quit the team. But when she throws open the door to the equipment shed, she finds that the sounds of heavy breathing and whimpering aren't what she thought they were.
