Synopsis
Elias is a washed-up crime novelist battling severe depression and alcoholism, desperate to reclaim his lost literary fame. In a drunken fugue state within his squalid studio apartment, he mistakes a violent reality for a burst of creative genius.
Elias sits in a haze of cigarette smoke and whiskey, typing furiously as he believes he is finally breaking his years-long writer's block with a masterpiece scene. However, as the pounding on his door intensifies, he realizes the visceral murder scene on his screen isn't fiction—it is a transcription of what he did to his estranged wife moments ago.
