Beneath the Boots

Trapped in a crumbling, water-logged dungeon, Juma fights the urge to scream as the heavy boots of his executioners crunch on the gravel overhead. With the water level rising dangerously fast and Commandant Kaelo pausing directly atop the only exit, Juma must endure a terrifying test of stillness where a single splash ensures execution, but silence might condemn him to a watery grave.
