Synopsis
Maya is a high-achieving student plagued by a sense of numbness, secretly craving something to shatter the monotony of her academic life. Jax, the school's star quarterback who has been missing for three days, returns in a volatile state, teetering on the edge of a feral shift and driven by a primal instinct to claim and protect Maya.
Accepting a ride home from debate club seems like a safe bet until the door of Jax's 1970s Chevy Nova slams shut and the locks click with a sound like a gunshot. Trapped in the rain-streaked darkness with a boy who is rapidly losing his humanity, Maya faces a terrifying ultimatum: run and be hunted, or stay and surrender to the unknown.
